How long have you been part of the Indego team?I joined in May 2016.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your position!

I’m the Controller, responsible for the accounting and financial reporting for Indego. I studied accounting in college and have worked in many different roles over the years, including as an accountant, auditor, and director.

What does a normal day look like for you?

My days include entering and reviewing transactions in Quickbooks, researching and answering questions, preparing reports for people to use, and thinking about ways to make Indego operations more efficient.

What do you like the most about working at Indego?

The people who work here are kind, smart, interesting, and athletic. They inspire me every day.

How would you say the system has impacted the city?

Indego provides a viable alternative to using cars for short trips. We used to walk to take care of errands, but that norm lost out to our car culture. Indego encourages us to leave our cars behind.

Any favorite routes?

I cut my commuter teeth on the Schuylkill River Trail to Spring Garden.

What would you say to anyone that might be hesitant about riding in the city?

Choose streets with established bike lanes. And stop–feet down–at every red light.

What are you up to outside of Indego?

I chauffeur two teenagers and garden in our too-large backyard.

Hi Christine,
I am an annual passholder and I have been very disappointed and frustrated by the number of e-bikes at stations compared to regular bikes. First, I prefer a regular bike – this is my exercise! Second – I have to pay extra every time I get an e-bike, even when there are no other choices. I have documented at least 20 dates so far when e-bikes were my only choice at a given station, and often when surrounding stations also had only e-bikes. By the time I found a station with a regular bike, I’d have nearly walked home! At this point, the cost of my annual subscription has nearly doubled. Are you able to address this concern? (I have sent a similar message to Charolyn)
