SUMMARY:Adult Learn to Ride with the 11th St. Health Center
DESCRIPTION:Join Us! \nThis FREE two-hour Adult Learn to Ride class teaches adults 18 and up how to ride a bicycle or remember how to ride a bicycle and is led by the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia in partnership with Indego and the Better Bike Share Partnership (BBSP.) This class is perfect for those who haven’t ever ridden a bike or haven’t ridden in a long time and includes a skill-building bicycle course that prepares you to ride by the end of the class. \nStaff and volunteers will teach participants how to: \n● Balance \n● Pedaling techniques \n● Starting and stopping \n● Steering and shifting gears \nThe class will be held at Global Leadership Academy Southwest \nThis class will use Indego bikes. Helmets will be provided and participants can keep the helmets after the class (because safety is important for all bicyclists!) \nOnly registered participants can join the class (no walk-ups allowed). The size of this event will be capped at 10-12 participants* \n*Height Restrictions: The bikes we use for the class are recommended for 5′ 2″ and up.
