DESCRIPTION:From their event page: \nExperience the magic of the holiday season at Winter in Franklin Square presented by Citizens\, featuring the Electrical Spectacle Light Show presented by PECO from November 21 through February 23\, a spectacular light show that drapes 50\,000 twinkling lights across the park’s fountain and connects to a 12-foot tall kite\, in an ode to Benjamin Franklin’s famous experiment. Every half hour\, an alternate light show plays to the sounds of holiday classics. \nNew this year\, Winter in Franklin Square features new songs in the Electrical Spectacle Light Show; outdoor fire pits and beautiful indoor heated tents with adult and hot beverages and seasonal food at Franklin’s Winter View; and Center City’s only miniature golf course both daytime and evenings transformed into Chilly Philly Mini Golf presented by IBEW Local 98.

DESCRIPTION:From their event page:  \nDo you want to take action for better transit in Philly in 2026? \nJoin Transit Forward Philadelphia for a transit leadership training. You’ll learn how you can rally your community to make transit more affordable\, safer\, accessible\, and fully funded. \nThe training has 3 tracks to choose from: \n🚆 Canvassing Leaders: Learn how you can mobilize riders at your local transit stop and at community events in your neighborhood. This organizing will power our campaigns for passing a Transit Access Fund in Philly and including transit funding in the 2026 state budget in Harrisburg. At this training\, we’ll create a citywide calendar of ways that transit advocates can take action this year. \n🚌 Communication Leaders: Learn to share your transit story and amplify the voices of transit riders in your community. This team will work together to create social media content\, write letters to the editor\, and organize public testimony when transit legislation comes up at City Hall and in Harrisburg. \n🚋 Special Project Leaders: This session will share ways you can get involved with big events coming up in 2026 like transit equity day\, our annual transit advocacy day in Harrisburg\, and events that bring our community together like the Peoplehood parade\, Kensington Derby\, and more.
