SUMMARY:Adult Learn to ride at Lloyd Hall
DESCRIPTION:From their event page:  \nThis Adult Learn-to-Ride class is a 2-hour session for adults or mature teens who are ready to ride a bicycle! This will be an outdoor lesson along a quiet lane. Depending on weather and availability\, this class may be moved to the Azalea Garden to encourage social distancing. An additional $14.04 (including tax) fee is paid directly to the Wheel Fun rental kiosk at the start of class for the bicycle rental. This rental fee is not included in the non-refundable registration ticket\, which are available on a sliding scale from $15 – $35. \nHeight Restriction: bicycles rented for this class cannot accommodate students under 5’2″. \nStudents will learn how to balance\, pedal\, start\, stop\, steer\, and properly adjust a helmet. Most participants will learn to ride during the class\, but even if you don’t\, you’ll leave with a simple method to teach yourself. \n* SEPTA bus routes 7\, 32\, 38\, 43\, 48 stop closest to the Art Museum. \n* Parking is available at Lloyd Hall lot\, along Sedgley Drive\, or in the Art Museum garage. \n* Minors in this class must have an adult (over 18) sign the waiver for them.

SUMMARY:Community Paddle Boating at FDR Park
DESCRIPTION:From their event page: \nJoin Fairmount Park Conservancy and Independence Seaport Museum for free paddle boating at FDR Park on select dates in the spring\, summer\, and fall! \nPaddle boats are an easy and safe way for families and people of all ages to explore Edgewood Lake\, just behind the FDR Park Boathouse. As you pedal around\, use the kid-friendly binoculars provided to spot turtles\, ducks\, blooming flowers\, and maybe even a great blue heron – the long-legged shorebird the boats are shaped after. This event is geared toward our FDR Park neighbors. \nChildren must be able to fit into a life jacket (30+ pounds) in order to participate. All minors must have an adult available to sign for them. \nWaivers will be provided and must be signed before participating. You can do this ahead of time by clicking the ‘sign up for event reminder’ button below. Please include everyone in your party on the form. This will also ensure that you receive any important weather updates that may affect the event. Please note\, clicking the ‘sign up for event reminder’ button does not guarantee a spot on a boat! There is often a line to get on the boats. If the wait time for boarding is longer than 30 minutes\, the line will close before the actual event end time of 2:00 PM. \nThere is no place to store belongings while out on the water\, so we recommend bringing a small bag/waterproof case to store them in. We suggest having at least two people on each boat to balance pedaling; boats cannot hold more than four people.
