Since then\, a diverse collection of native trees and shrubs has been planted throughout the 14-acre site\, enhancing the natural habitat and supporting local biodiversity. \n\nTIMELINE   \n9:00 am         Volunteers arrive and sign in\n9:15 am           Welcome remarks\, projects\, and safety overview\n9:20 am           Group photo\n9:25 am           Begin projects\n11:45 am         Wrap up projects and gather tools\n11:50 am         Group photo at the end of the event\n12:00 pm         Event ends \n\nMEETING LOCATION\nPlease park in the Concourse Lake parking lot (off of S Concourse Dr.) There is ample parking right next to the volunteer site along both sides: S Concourse Drive and Avenue of the Republic. You will see our green tent. We will start our session there and move on to our work locations in the Concourse Lake area. \n\nKNOW BEFORE YOU GO: \n\nIn general\, please wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. We strongly recommend wearing long pants that cover your ankles and long sleeves to protect your arms.\nSturdy\, closed-toe shoes like boots or sneakers are required (no ballet flats\, flip flops\, or sandals).\nVolunteers are also required to wear gloves while working. Gloves will be provided\, but you are also welcome to bring your own.\nYou may also want to consider wearing a hat or sunglasses.\nPlease bring a reusable water bottle. We will provide jugs for refilling.\nThere are bathrooms (porta-potties) available nearby.

Register to join on your bike >>>Personal Bike Registration<<<\nAbout the Ride:\nJoin us for an Indego Group Ride with our new Indego Ambassador\, Discovery Pathways. They are a Philadelphia-based nonprofit dedicated to uplifting community and environmental well-being through experiential\, nature-based programs. Their mission is to connect underserved youth and families—especially immigrant and refugee communities—to Philadelphia’s parks and outdoor spaces. Through free programs like biking\, boating\, and environmental education\, Discovery Pathways helps remove barriers to outdoor access while building confidence\, skills\, and community. \nThis will be a slow-paced bicycle group ride beginning and ending at the new Indego Station in FDR Park (1502 Pattison Ave.) in South Philly. We will be exploring the park’s trails\, green spaces\, Southeast Asian Food Market\, and other hidden gems of FDR Park.  \nRide Details:\nRegistered participants will have the opportunity to ride Indego electric bikes. Participants must be at least 14 years old to attend and 16 years or older to ride an electric bike. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No exceptions. \nEvery ride is led by a trained staff member of the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia\, and all participants are expected to follow the Rules of the Road. \n-This ride will be beginner-friendly and at a leisurely pace \n-Free Helmets will be provided for Indego riders \n-You must be 16 years of age to ride an Indego electric bike \n-We will be riding with motor vehicles  \n-Water\, snacks\, and swag will be provided \nRegistration & Important Info:\nPlease let the ride leaders know about any medical conditions.
