Indego is Philly’s newest transportation system making it easier and affordable to get around town. Indego bicycles and stations are owned by the City of Philadelphia, and are operated by the professional staff of Bicycle Transit Systems. Bike Transit is a Philadelphia-based company that brings experienced staff who have launched bike share systems in seven other cities, including Boston, New York, Washington DC, and Melbourne. Indego’s bikes and stations are provided by BCycle. BCycle grew out of America’s largest bicycle manufacturer Trek Bicycles, and has more than 4,000 bike share bikes in 30 cities across the US and in Santiago, Chile.
