Join Audubon Mid-Atlantic as we document the many organisms that call Discovery Center their home. The City Nature Challenge is an international effort for people to find and log plants and wildlife in cities. It’s an annual four-day global bioblitz at the end of April, where cities collaborate to see what can be accomplished when we all work toward a common goal. Check in throughout the day to see live results on our TV.

We’ll start the day with Nature Journaling from 10-11am. Learn how to tie together creativity with scientific effort as we look for early-spring plants, birds and other organisms. Journals and pencils will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. We’ll also start with an iNaturalist app tutorial, so you’re ready to trek through the trails. Let’s celebrate biodiversity, and continue celebrating Earth Day! Registration for City Nature Challenge is not needed, but registration for Nature Journaling from 10-11am is required.
