World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims

November 16, 2025 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Free

Sunday, November 16th is the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. This is a solemn event created to remember those we have lost the last year and years prior. This event is also very important to the Families for Safe Streets and larger Vision Zero community. Each year we hold the event in a different part of the city to highlight the need for infrastructure, enforcement and draw attention to different legislative actions that could be taken to make our city safer.

This year we are holding the event at Fairhill Square Park on Lehigh Avenue in North Philly. In just 2025, 4 pedestrians have been killed along Lehigh Avenue and despite ongoing improvement projects, more needs to be done to make sure a road that runs through a neighborhood is safe for the neighborhood to thrive. We will hear from Senator Tartaglione and Representative Burgos who represent the neighborhood, Families for Safe Streets members, and Kelley Yemen from the office of Multimodal Planning at the City.
