What’s more Philadelphia than bike dates? This is the city of Bicycle Love, isn’t it? We’ve put together a list of attractions and restaurants you can easily get to thanks to Indego. Nothing says “I love you” like helping each other fasten helmets, riding into the sunset, and docking blue bikes before enjoying each other’s company. Keep on reading for our list of perfect dates for you to enjoy with  your partner or group of friends. Remember, Indego just expanded into new neighborhoods and now has over 100+ stations across the city.

Graduate Alan Lomax celebrates completing the course

This Spring, Indego and the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Transportation and Infrastructure Systems teamed up with the Mayor’s Commission on Literacy, the KEYSPOTS network, and the Bicycle Coalition  of Greater Philadelphia with support from the Better Bike Share Partnership and the Mayor’s Innovation Fund to create a new tool to help community members access two important resources: Indego and digital literacy opportunities.

You’re Invited: Indego’s Party in the Park

Indego recently added bikes and stations to Philly’s parks and waterfronts. What better way to celebrate than with a big party in the park?

Join us on Saturday, June 4th from 2 PM- 5 PM at Mander Recreation Center (Strawberry Mansion neighborhood) for a fun day filled with games, giveaways, food, zumba, kids activities, Indego test rides, bike tours around East Park, and so much more. Everything is FREE.

The Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia is a non-profit advocacy and education organization working as part of the Better Bike Share Partnership to support bike share and biking education. Better Bike Share Partnership is funded by the JPB Foundation.

Spring in Philly means it’s time to ride bikes! This Spring is a particularly exciting time to be on two wheels, since Indego recently celebrated its 1st birthday and has been expanding with new stations, a new Access program, and more! Our Better Bike Share Partnership team at the Bicycle Coalition met with a group of staff from the School District of Philadelphia’s Head Start Program as well as the parents of their students, to teach Indego Street Skills and to lead the group on a ride around the Art Museum. Who is responsible for bringing these two organizations together for such a meaningful collaboration, you may ask?

Indego’s expansion to parks and waterfronts

Thanks to the William Penn Foundation, Indego has added 28 new stations around town! Station locations were chosen with the input of many committed Philadelphia residents, and aim to improve accessibility to parks and waterfronts. Indego has also placed many of those new stations in underserved communities, making the blue bikes even more accessible to Philadelphians of all income levels.
