Indego Rider Wins Big by Championing Philly’s Love to Ride Challenge

Cycle September is back! This month-long challenge is one of the Love to Ride Challenges and is brought to you locally by The Clean Air Council. Individuals and their workplaces compete worldwide to raise the profile of cycling and help get more people on bikes. All you have to do is sign up and log your bike rides for the chance to win prizes! We sat down with previous Love to Ride prize winner, Lauren, to learn more about how she climbed her way to the top.

BBSP 2019 July Monthly Ride Recap: Picnic at the Centennial Commons

Each month, The Better Bike Share Partnership (BBSP) hosts a themed group ride that is intended to familiarize Philadelphians with Indego and introduce folks to different resources all over the city. Last month, riders were invited to join us at the Smith Memorial Arch in Fairmount Park for a picnic and live entertainment!

Philly Rides With Pride

June is recognized nationally as Pride Month and is a time to make the LGBTQ+ voices in our community heard, respected, and to recognize the impact LGBT+ people have had in the world. This Pride Month, Indego released a new, specially wrapped bike called the Philly Pride Bike, which made its debut at the Pride Parade in Philadelphia on June 9th.

We sat down with Alison Cohen, CEO of Bicycle Transit Systems, and Amber Hikes, the Executive Director of Philadelphia’s Office of LGBT Affairs to discuss the importance of visibility and inclusion for the LGBTQ+ community in the bike share industry and in Philadelphia.
