12th PPD Pedal for Peace Group Ride

About the Ride:
Join Indego, the 12th Philadelphia Police Department, Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia (BCGP), Town Watch Integrated Services, and the Better Bike Share Partnership (BBSP) for a Pedal for Peace Bicycle Group Ride in Southwest Philadelphia.
This ride will promote public safety in the community and highlight local hubs and safe spaces in Southwest Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Police Department will escort this ride to help yield traffic. This will be a 5 to 7-mile ride at a slow pace. The group ride is open to all cycling skill levels and will include 15-30 bicyclists riding in solidarity for peace in the streets of Philly.
Ride Details:
Registered participants will have the opportunity to ride an Indego Electric bike. All participants must be 14 or older to ride in this event and 16 or older to ride an Indego Electric bike. A guardian or parent must accompany all minors. No exceptions.
Every ride is led by a trained staff member of the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia, and all participants are expected to follow the Rules of the Road.
-This ride will be beginner-friendly and at a leisurely pace
-Free Helmets will be provided for registered Indego riders
-Free Snacks, Water, and Swag items will be provided
-You must be 14 to ride an Indego Bike and 16 or older to ride an Indego E-Bike
-All registered participants must confidently demonstrate how to ride a bicycle for this group ride.
Registration & Important Info:
Please let the ride leaders know about any medical conditions. Indego riders should plan to stay with the group for the entire ride.
*Height Restrictions: The bikes we use for the class are recommended for 5’2″ and up. If you’d like to come out with your own bike, please let us know.
>>>Bring your own bike option (Click Here)<<< Register and join us for the ride on your personal bike. Please make sure your bike is in good condition and operating before the event. If a Bicycle Coalition staff member deems the bike unsafe, you will not be able to ride. All registered participants must wear a helmet in order to participate. No exceptions.
Indego riders should plan to stay with the group for the entire ride. Sign-up is required and spaces are limited.
